Day 1 in Milano
January 25, 2010 § 1 Comment
Yay! I’m so relieved that we have arrived in Milan safely. Glad that we chose Linate instead of Malpensa ( Linate is nearer to the city then Malpensa) so we paid bout 25 euros instead of 100+ euros for cab fare.
While we were unloading our luggages from the cab, a lady suddenly grab my arm and i was so scared that she was going to con or rob me. turned out that she was our landlady. haha.. she’s really really nice and motherly and i LOVE the apartment. there’s everything ( kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, utensils, rice cooker, oven, etc) and the best part is that there’s wireless!!! =) Here’s a photo of our living room and our kitchen!
After unpacking for a while, we decided to take a walk around our area and omg. it’s a shopping heaven. there’s H&M,Pull & Bear, Accessorize, Zara, etc and they are all having massive sales! Due to time constraint, we are probably going to shop during weekends. Another thing that i really like about our apartment is like there’s a supermarket and fruit store across our street so it’s really convenient for us to get food.
Here’s the Duomo:
( Our first out of the zillion churches that we are going to visit during our exchange)
Here’s some pix of the shopping centre beside the Duomo. If you realise, Mac has similar store sign as Prada and Louis Vitton. Hmmm…
I was also amazed that they sell sewing machines here! ( My dad sells sewing machines btw) So the picture below is for you daddy!
I shall end off with a photo of this really ADORABLE little boy who was playing with pigeons near the Duomo. the pigeons here are really round and huge.
